Cleaning Your Car's Dash

Cleaning Your Dash with a Coffee Filter!

Coffee filters are great for making coffee, but they have so many uses beyond the obvious. Recently I started exploring how to use them for cleaning, and they are perfect for the car!

If your dashboard seems to be a magnet for dust and lint (and most are, no matter how much you keep up with your cleaning), you can keep things under control with a coffee filter. They’re made from super small particles of paper and are hardy enough to clean up a big mess. And because unlike paper towels, they’re lint free, they won’t add to any messes.

Dab a little olive oil or vegetable oil (mixed with a drop of essential oils for a great scent!) on a coffee filter and rub it over the console. Not only will it pick up the lint and dust, but it will help repel lint and dust from gathering quite so quickly.

In addition to the console, you can also use this cleaning tip on leather seats and along the doors. They strong enough hold up well, even on a gritty mess in the door, and, depending on what kind of package you buy, about as cheap as you can get for cleaning products!

It’s well worth keeping a bag with a few of these filters in the glove box – it’s certainly handy for moments of quick clean up!
