This engine can also be configured with both front- and all-wheel-drive. It's also estimated to reach up to 28 mpg on the highway and can tow up to 3,500 pounds. All three engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. There are just two engine options available for the 2019 Honda CR-V. The first, a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder, creates 184 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. This engine is offered in both FWD and AWD configurations and can get up to 32 mpg on the highway. The second and last engine offered for the 2019 model year is a 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder that produces 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque. This engine is estimated to get up to 34 mpg on the highway and can be outfitted with both FWD and AWD. Both engines are mated to a continuously variable transmission and can tow up to 1,500 pounds.

The Escape is available in four trim levels for the 2019 model year. They include the S, SE, SEL, and Titanium. It was tight for a second but its clear to see that the 2019 Ford Escape takes the crown! The Honda CR-V does bring respectable fuel economy to the table but the Escape offers an additional engine option that is loads more powerful and a better tow rating!
