Under the hood of the Ranger you are going to find a 2.3-liter EcoBoost gas engine that delivers 270 horsepower and best-in-class 310 pound-feet of torque! Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the Ranger's powertrain delivers a unique combination of capability, power, and efficiency that Ford is known for. This engine also beats out all the V6 engines under the hoods of the competitors! For all your towing needs, the Ranger, when properly equipped, can tow a best-in-class 7,500 pounds with the available tow package and haul up to 1,860 pounds in the bed!

We are so proud of the fuel economy this truck boasts we just can't stop talking about it! The EPA has estimated the Ranger can reach 21 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway for an estimate of 23 mpg combined. These outstanding numbers make the Ford Ranger the most fuel-efficient gas-powered midsize pickup truck on the American market! When configured with the 4x4 drivetrain, the Ranger delivers 20 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 22 mpg combined. That is the best-in-class EPA estimate for city fuel economy of any 4WD mid-size gas-powered pickup truck on the market!
