Honest Neighbors

Bill and Steve Kindle

Dear Kindle Customers and Neighbors,

In January of last year , Kindle Auto Plaza announced that every sales and service customer would receive a list of more than 50 organizations serving Cape May County, and the customers would be asked to direct up to $100,000 in charitable donations. The results of this Kindle Community Challenge were presented at a celebration on Friday, Nov. 15th, at Kindle Auto Plaza, along with free refreshments and live music. The public was invited.

Initiated by Steve Kindle in keeping with a family business tradition of giving back to the community, the Kindle Community Challenge encouraged customers to get better acquainted with the vital work of local charitable, civic and educational organizations though www.HonestNeighbors.Org and direct Kindle's donations accordingly.

"Seeing the big economic challenges facing our County, we challenged our community to learn about the great work of these organizations and support their efforts," said Kindle Auto Plaza Vice President Steve Kindle. "We started with a ballot of over 50 organizations and a blank for write-ins, and we ended with over 100 organizations receiving nearly $100,000 in donations this week."

Organizations receiving some of the largest contributions include the Wounded Warriors Project, American Cancer Society, Cape May County Animal Shelter, Love of Linda Cancer Fund, Animal Outreach, Wildwood Catholic, Lunch with Lynch, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #44, Naval Air Station Wildwood, Forgotten Warriors Vietnam Museum, the Hero Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May Counties, and the Animal Alliance of Cape May County.

"The results show that we care for our children, our animals, our veterans, and for those facing cancer," noted Steve Kindle. "This challenge celebrates what's in our hearts, and it's a good way to celebrate the start of Thanksgiving season."

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the Kindle Community Challenge, you have all made a difference in the community.

Sincerely,

Bill Kindle
