What kind of features does the 2019 Fusion offer?
The 2019 Ford Fusion offers a new trim lineup ranging from the entry-level S to the top-of-the-line V6 Sport. Standard features include the Ford Co-Pilot360 Protect system. This system encompasses features like rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beams, blind-spot information system with cross-traffic alert, and automatic braking with pre-collision assist and pedestrian detection. The mid-level SEL model gains ActiveX seating surfaces, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, warm interior accents, and a 10-way power driver's seat with memory functions. Other trims come outfitted with features like adaptive cruise control, navigation, rear inflatable seatbelts, and so much more! This system encompasses all of the features from the Protect system, adding adaptive cruise control with stop and go, voice-activated navigation with SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link, and more connectivity. Higher models are equipped with an embedded 4G LTE modem that provides a Wi-Fi connection for up to 10 devices so everyone along for the ride can stay connected to the outside world. The Fusion Energi model has also been upgraded for the 2019 model year. The all-electric driving range has been increased by 20 percent for an EPA estimated range of 25 miles. The engineers at Ford also created a brand new 9.0 kWh air-cooled lithium-ion battery. This new battery is no bigger than the previous battery but it offers a greater energy capacity! Ford has gathered data from over 23,000 plug-in hybrid drivers and they estimate that 80 percent of Ford Energi model drivers will be able to drive their entire daily commute with just electric power -- assuming that the vehicle is charged at both home and work! Talk about saving at the gas pump! If you can't charge at work, no worries! Ford has found that roughly 48 percent of plug-in hybrid vehicle drivers can still get to the place of work and home on just electric power!
